Do I have to make a reservation?

It is necessary to book in advance. For your reservation, please provide the following : dates of arrival and departure, type of vehicle and plate number, phone number and credit card information. A deposit must be made, payable by credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD) or by certified check. Please consult the company regarding reimbursement policies.

What are the onboard services?

CTMA Group offers a complete range of amenities to passengers using the M/V CTMA Madeleine. Those onboard services greatly while away the five hours crossing time between Prince Edward Island and Les Îles de la Madeleine. Among those services, we should mention a projection room, cabins, a children play area, a cafeteria and a fine dining room.

What type of merchandise may I bring aboard?

All goods carried on the vessel must comply with the provisions of Canada's Shipping Act. Dangerous goods will not be accepted on board. Recreational vehicles carrying propane gas must have their cylinder's valve fully closed before boarding the ship. Electrical appliances must not be left in operation.

Is the crossing handicap friendly?

Our services are partially available to handicapped people. For assistance, please contact the employees in charge before boarding the ship. It is recommended to mention it when making your reservation.

How about seasickness?

Not something to worry about. The boat is equipped with stabilizers that reduce pitch .

Is smoking permitted on board?

Yes. Smoking is permitted on exterior decks.

Are there cabins for rent?

Yes. We urge you to reserve a cabin at the time of your reservation for the crossing. The rate is $40 per cabin. The cabins are of small dimensions but provide all the necessary amenities (shower, toilette, sink). Single beds are 30 inches wide and double beds are 48 inches wide. Linen is included.

Are pets allowed on board?

Yes. They are permitted on the exterior decks or in cars on the car deck. However, for security reasons, access to the car deck is not permitted during the crossing.
